Greetings,
My name is Mr. Dave Filson. Thank you for visiting our classroom website. A little about myself.... I am originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia. I graduated high school from Hatboro-Horsham in 2007. Upon graduating I attended Millersville University where I studied Elementary Education. After graduation, I taught in the Central York School District for a year. From there I was lucky enough to find a teaching position here at Community Park and I have loved it ever since.
My hobbies would include hanging out with friends and family, sports, and exercising. It has been a difficult time being a Philadelphia sports fan but I still remain confident that I will have a few more championships in my lifetime. I recently have taken an interest in triathlons. It is a great way for me to stay in shape and keep my competitive juices rolling. .
Teaching is a passion of mine. As long as I can remember I wanted to be either a professional athlete (didn't work out so great) or a teacher. I love working with kids and watching them learn. Building strong relationships with my students is my favorite part of the job!
